Books, in all their forms, demand dedication. We believe that every story has a beginning, but no end. We don’t idealise writing, but we are convinced that knowledge and dedication can produce exceptional work. We give no manuscript or author preference: you are all special to us. We look forward to your manuscripts, which we will review editorially, and to discovering new literary talent together with you!

How do we assess your work?

Send us twenty pages of your manuscript, and we will comment on it and assess its quality. We will return the commented text with a quote for an editorial review of the whole manuscript, and advise you on all the next steps. If the text is of poor quality, we reserve the right not to process the manuscript further.

What to include in your application?

  • your full name
  • your postal address, phone number and email address (if you have one)
  • a description of your previous writing experience (a few sentences)
  • an approximate estimate of the manuscript’s length (if already written)

Editorial philosophy

What to expect from us in editorial work?

Once we have received twenty pages of your manuscript, reviewed them editorially and assessed their quality, we will return the commented text with a quote for an editorial review of the whole manuscript, and advise you on all the next steps. If the text is of poor quality, we reserve the right not to process the manuscript further.

You, the author, are at the centre of the editorial process. This means that you decide what you want and what matters to you in your book. As a self-publisher you can keep an overview of the whole book process while maintaining high publishing standards.

We offer individual work with an editor. When you send your manuscript, you consult the editor about all aspects of it. For a novel, the editor will give you an opinion on the story, characters, style, dramatic arc, perspective, dilemmas and open questions. The editor can recommend books to read or advise you on what research to do so that your literary work has depth. Above all, we want writing a book to be a pleasant experience for you.
